Armitage With Handsacre now has a community speed watch team, hopefully you will be seeing them locally around the village doing what they do best, helping to keep our village safe from speeding traffic.
The community speed watch team are a dedicated local team of volunteers who want to make a difference to our village by tackling an ongoing issue in our modern world. Speeding within Armitage with Handsacre is an issue that continues to crop up regularly and something that everyone notices. Throughout the past the County Council, District Council and Parish Council have tried its hardest using many methods of monitoring such as traffic calming, speed camera vans and many more, to reduce the speed of vehicles that access and regularly use the village. The community speed watch is just another element that can help to reduce this issue within our village.
The community speed watch team are always working within the community morning, noon or early evening to tackle speed and come up with other ideas to do this. If you have any views to help forward this or wish to become a member of the speed watch team or just want to see the work they do head over to their facebook page by clicking the picture on the right of this page!
